About This Kumkum Box
Stone-Studded Antique Kumkum Box is a kumkum box with a metal alloy base, a Rajwadi finish and artificial stones, weighing 66 gm and available in Ruby Green. Made in India and shipped across India in 2–4 business days.
Dab kumkum from a square kumkum box that opens on a small hinge and latches with a looped clasp. The lid rises into a shallow dome, and a seated figure with raised hands stands at its peak. Four curled pieces extend from the corners like waves, which gives the outline a shape well beyond a plain square.
Engraved scrollwork fills the dome, with stones set between the lines. Ruby Green is the colour option, so each curl is lined with stones in two shades, one row along the edge of the front curl and another along the side. A line of small round metal studs runs beneath the latch, and it catches light along the front edge. The antique finish keeps the surface soft and slightly aged, and the inside of the lid is studded with a few more stones.
It weighs 66 gm, light enough to lift with one hand. Artificial stones are fixed into the metal alloy body. Place it beside a lamp or on a shelf where the figure can face the room. See other sindoor boxes with other lid shapes and sizes.
