South Indian Peacock Kumkum Box with Stone Work is a kumkum box with a metal alloy base, a Rajwadi finish and artificial stones, weighing 56 gm and available in Mint Green. Made in India and shipped across India in 2–4 business days.

A South Indian peacock kumkum box, this one has a bird with a curled crest lying along the top of the lid, above a lattice frame with a large carved stone in the middle. A border of oval, petal-like discs runs around the edge, and the whole lid rests on a round plate. The finish is Rajwadi, and the listing marks the style as Antique and South Indian.

Mint green is the only colour listed, and it shows in the big central stone, which is shaped like a small cushion. Small clear stones sit above and below it, and a few more are tucked into the lattice. The petal border has a beaded outline. Because the peacock is low and the centre is flat, the lid has a wide, rounded shape with no sharp points.

Compact and rounded at 56 gm, it sits easily on a pooja shelf. Made of metal alloy with artificial stones, it opens at a hook clasp underneath the lid rim, and the bowl takes kumkum or sindoor. For other South Indian designs, go to sindoor boxes.
