This is a South Indian sindoor box with a tall, temple-like front. Lakshmi stands on a lotus at the centre, framed by two pillars and an arch lined with stones, and below her the lid is a rounded dome patterned in small scales. A loop clasp holds it shut. The finish is Rajwadi, and the listing marks the style as Temple, Traditional and South Indian.
Stone colours in stock are ruby and green. They run up the pillars and across the arch, and a few more are scattered over the dome, while the figure's own carving is left unset so the face and hands read clearly. Pieces built like a small shrine do well where they can be seen from the front, on a shelf or a side table facing the room.
