Ruby and green stones circle the lid of this South Indian sindoor box, and above them sits Ganesha, crowned, with his four hands raised. Below the lid a bell-shaped stand rests on a base of curling petals set in rows. A narrow loop clasp keeps the lid down. The stones are drop-shaped and set in a ring, one colour after the other, with a ruby right under the figure.
