About This South Indian Kumkum Box
South Indian Ganesha Kumkum Box with Stone Work is a kumkum box with a metal alloy base and artificial stones, weighing 45 gm and available in Ruby Green. Made in India and shipped across India in 2–4 business days.
Seated on a stone-set lid, Ganesha tops this South Indian kumkum box, with a ring of ruby and green stones around him and a rim of scalloped petals below. The body is a round bowl with a hook clasp, and it stands on a twelve-sided plate engraved with a patterned border. The tags list it in the God Figure and South Style groups.
Two small stone-set sprigs rise at the sides of the bowl, each carrying one green and one ruby among thin leaf shapes, so the two colours in stock are set apart from the lid as well. The plate gives the box a wide base, and the cutwork on it looks like a frame around the bowl, which keeps the sprigs from crowding the lid. The listing also marks the dabbi for pooja.
