On the lid of this South Indian sindoor dibbi, a figure plays a flute while a cow stands behind, and both rest on a small round seat. The lid itself is a shallow dome, carved with flowers and edged by a ring of tiny stones. Underneath, the body narrows like a goblet and ends on a base of open lacework. Ruby and green, alternating in the ring, are the two options the page lists in stock. Each stone is small and round, set close to the next, so they read as a continuous band. The cow has a decorated cloth on its back, and the figure's crown and ornaments are cut clearly. The openwork base lets light through and makes the piece look lighter than it is.
