This temple sindoor dibbi is a small covered pot with a round, flat lid and a goddess seated on a lotus at its centre. Around her a ring of flowers is set inside a border of straight-line key carving. The base is a pointed plate of open lacework, and a short loop clasp joins lid and bowl. Temple is the style named in the listing.

On either side of the plate there is a small vase-shaped ornament holding a ruby, which are the only stones on the piece, and ruby is the colour the page lists. The lid is finely detailed, but the figure is what you notice first, as it is the one raised part. The lacework base casts a pattern on the table when light falls on it, and the clasp is easy to find by touch.

At 51 gm it is steady but not heavy. The two ornaments carry artificial stones on a metal alloy body, and the lid lifts to a round bowl that holds sindoor, large enough for everyday use. Comparable designs are in sindoor boxes.
