About This Maang Tikka

A maang tikka for women that follows the parting is built here as a slim, flat metal band with three fan-shaped clusters spaced along its length. The band runs from the hairline back over the crown, so the clusters sit in a row down the centre parting. The largest cluster rests at the forehead end with one small drop below it. The two behind it step up, each a little narrower than the last. Every cluster is filled with closely placed, cut-edged stones.

The design is a band rather than a hanging chain, so only the small drop moves at the forehead. The stones on all three clusters are white, the one colour option. These stones are artificial, while the frame holding them is metal alloy. Their pointed edges give each fan a feathered outline and a crisp edge.
