Seven square links form the chain of this antique maang tikka, each one tilted on its corner and set with stones, ending in a pendant shaped like a rounded fan. A teardrop stone sits at the centre of the pendant, with curling floral lines and smaller stones around it and a fringe of round beads below.

Ruby is the colour in stock, and it appears as the centre teardrop and the small stones inside each link. Pair it with a saree in a plain weave, or a lehenga with a simple border; the zigzag chain is detailed enough that the rest of the look can stay quiet.
