What stands on top of this sindoor box? A small elephant, trunk curled, wearing a decorated cloth with a single stone on its back. The lid below it is stamped with a honeycomb pattern, and the round body has a lattice of carving and a small hook clasp. The finish is Rajwadi, and the tags carry the Elephant Design.

Round stones in ruby and green, the colours in stock, ring the base like a row of buttons, and each one sits inside a small ornate disc. A scalloped border of scrolls surrounds the lid.
