Square stones sit flat against a curve, and that is what this kundan maang tikka shows: square and angular kundan-style stones in two rows, a teardrop stone at the top, and a fringe of drops along the lower edge. Five pairs of leaf-shaped stones form the chain above.

The colours you can choose are pearl, green and ruby; the photograph is pearl. The mix of square and rounded shapes gives the pendant a neat, ordered look, which works with a saree in a plain weave, with a lehenga or with a kurta set. The chain of paired leaf shapes adds a softer line above the angular crescent, so the piece does not feel stiff. Parted hair, tied back, shows the crescent, and small earrings are enough, as the fringe of drops already fills the space beside the face.
