Only 50 gm, yet this sindoor box looks large because of the fan of narrow rays that spreads out behind a crowned face. The face is calm and smooth, the crown is stepped and set with stones, and a pair of chains with drops hangs below like a necklace. The finish is Rajwadi, the style is Temple and Royal, and the tags list it among the God Figure designs.

Stones come in ruby and green, the colours in stock, set along the rim of the round disc and down the chains. The rays are plain and ridged, like the folds of a hand fan, which is what makes the coloured stones stand apart from them. A small catch at the foot opens the lid, and the hinge sits just under the crown, so the face lifts away as one piece and the sindoor stays visible once it is open.
