Rajwadi is the finish of this kumkum box, and it has a six-sided shape from lid to body. Ganesha sits at the centre of the lid with his four hands raised, ringed by round stones in ruby and green. The edge of the lid is engraved with a narrow pattern, and a ruby and green stone sit on two sides of the clasp. The style is Antique, and the listing calls the design Ganpati.
Below the body, the base is a ring of round discs, each with a leaf-like shape pressed into it and a small bead between neighbours. The faces of the hexagon are plain and engraved with a fine texture, so all the weight of the design sits on the lid and the base. That keeps the figure clear and readable, even though the piece is only 38 gm.
