Most fans look like a fold of paper, but this maang tikka for women has gaps between its rays, so the pattern reads like a lace edge. A teardrop stone sits in a round setting above the fan, with a small flower of pear-shaped stones above that and a lattice of small square links leading to the chains and a hook. Five drops hang from the lower edge.

The Mehendi finish gives the metal a deeper, warmer tone, and the stones stay white, which is the only colour in stock. That makes the piece easy against a silk saree in a rich shade or a lehenga with a quiet border.
