The peacock is the same in every colour of this South Indian necklace set: green, ruby or mint green. A carved peacock hangs at the centre front with two crescent panels of ruby-coloured settings beside it and a round medallion above. Smaller peacocks and leaf motifs run along the sides, and tear-shaped drops with a small coloured centre fall from the edge. The earrings are round tops with a crescent and three drops.

The layout is simple: fine strands at the neck, peacock motifs along the sides, a crescent and a peacock at the centre. The page lists a Rajwadi finish and Heritage and South Indian styles. A silk saree with a woven border brings out the carved metal.

Wear it with the hair up, and let the peacock at the centre be the only large motif on show, with plain bangles beside it. The strands lead to a thread cord that ties at the back.
