The design is a Maharashtrian one with a North style cut.
The single option here is ruby, so the choice is simple. The strands stay close together, which makes the whole length read as one dense band instead of four thin lines. That closeness also keeps the rows from tangling against each other when you move. The studs are small and domed, with a cluster of tiny petals pressed into each face, and they weigh almost nothing on the ear.
