About This Rath Kumkum Box

Stone-Studded Kumkum Dabbi in Rajwadi Finish is a kumkum box with a metal alloy base, a Rajwadi finish and artificial stones, weighing 84 gm and available in Ruby Green. Made in India and shipped across India in 2–4 business days.

This kumkum box is a small rath, which is the word for a chariot: a long platform on four ridged wheels, a round dome of scrolling leaf-shaped carving, and a pair of seated figures on a lotus at the top. Carved animals stand at the front of the platform as supports. The finish is Rajwadi, and a tag lists the box among the God Figure designs.

Ruby stones sit in the lotus below the figures, with a green one near the base of the dome, and these are the colours in stock. The dome is deeply cut with curling leaf shapes, and the platform has a pattern of small flowers and a raised border. Because it is a long shape, it suits a shelf better than a small tray.

Easy to place at 84 gm, it stays put on the wheels, which are ridged and carry raised hubs. A metal alloy body carries the artificial stones. A loop clasp opens the dome, and the bowl takes kumkum or sindoor. See other chariot designs in sindoor boxes.
