About This Pearl Hair Accessory

In construction, this is one of the kundan hair accessories that grows wider as it falls: a hook and a round cluster of clear stones at the top, two chains of small four-petal flowers beneath, and at the base a row of five large teardrop stones in frames. Pearl drops of different sizes hang along the lower edge, with a few tiny beads between them.

White is the only colour listed. The teardrop stones are big and flat-faced, so they reflect light in broad patches, while the pearls and the small flower chains soften the whole outline. It is a statement piece for a hairstyle that has some height or a firm base, such as a bun worn high, and it looks right with a saree that is plain around the neck and shoulders.
