Long and narrow, this is one of the pearl hair accessories that hangs from a hook. At the top is a small round cluster of clear stones; below it two strings of teardrop shaped stones run down, each stone with tiny beads beside it, to a large round medallion of petals around a centre stone. Pearls hang from the lower rim of the medallion, a few of them larger than the rest.
Pearl is the single colour. The strings are open and light, so the medallion carries the weight of the design, and the pearls on its edge move a little when you turn your head. The page lists antique and party wear. Because it is narrow, it works with smaller hairstyles, such as a side bun or a plait, and it keeps the other side free for earrings.
