Which part of this kumkum box is the peacock? The whole lower half: a beaded body, a long neck wrapped with strands of small beads, and a tail spread out as a wide plate cut with feather eyes. On the plate stands a domed lid, and on the lid a small flute-playing figure. Rajwadi is the finish, and the listing marks it for pooja.

Drop-shaped stones circle the dome and run down the peacock's chest, and the page lists ruby and green for them. The body of the bird is stamped all over with tiny dots, which gives it a rough, grainy surface in contrast to the polished plate. A tag lists it among the God Figure designs, and the style is Traditional.
