A crescent drop hangs at the centre of this kundan necklace set, and the rest of the piece is built to frame it. The choker band is a row of large oval stones with smaller ones filling the gaps, and ruby-coloured beads swing from its lower edge. A matching pair of crescent earrings and a maang tikka on a fine chain complete the set.

Ruby is the colour option listed, so the beads, the crescent centres and the band carry one shade. The stones are set flat with a thin metal edge around each, which gives the front a formal, even look and lets the drops move freely. Because the band is wide and the beads hang low, a heavy silk saree, a lehenga or a rich suit gives the right backdrop, with the hair swept back so the tikka sits at the parting.
