A teardrop pendant with a ruby middle hangs at the centre of this antique maang tikka, framed by a leaf-like border and ending in a ruby drop with two tiny green ones beside it. Two side chains of small flowers and a longer centre chain carry it up to the hooks.

Ruby and green are the colours on the page, and they appear in the drops, in the middle of the pendant and in small touches along the chains. The look is antique and quiet, so it suits a silk saree in a traditional weave or a lehenga with a woven border, with the hair parted at the centre.
