Two things stand against each other in this South Indian vaddanam: the figure work in the middle of each medallion, which is fine and textured, and the broad edge of curved shapes around it, in a bright shade that frames the figure. Five round medallions with a Lakshmi design are joined side by side into a belt, and a ball drop hangs below each join and each medallion.
