A pearl necklace set like this one is worn for the pendant, which hangs well below the collarbone on rows of small clear stones. The pendant is a ruby-coloured teardrop stone inside a frame of flowers and leaf shapes, with several pearl drops swinging from the base and a small green stone near the top. The earrings follow the same layout, in miniature: a ruby-coloured stone and pearl drops. The rows are narrow, so the pendant stays the focus.
The colour list is ruby and green. The Royal style shows in the way the rows and the pendant are built, one thing stacked on another, and the matte finish keeps the metal warm. A V-neck lets the pendant fall straight, and the rows sit well against a plain or lightly embroidered saree, a lehenga blouse or a simple kurta.
