This party wear pearl maang tikka is outlined in small pearls: a long panel holds two columns of oval stones, and a round pendant with rings of stones, a coloured ring and a square centre stone hangs below it with six large pearl drops. A string of tiny pearls leads up to the hook.

Mehendi is the finish, and Pearl is the colour on the page. The look is antique, with warm metal and bright stones, and it suits a silk saree, a traditional lehenga or a kurta set. The long panel works with hair that is centre-parted and tied back, with small earrings, so that the panel and the pendant read as one line.
