A peacock with a fanned crest of feathers fills the centre of these oxidised earrings for women, and a rim of small round beads outlines the oval medallion around it. The surface is richly textured, with fine lines for the feathers and scales on the chest, and a thin hook holds the piece at the top.

Oxidised is the listed colour, a dull tone that gives the carving depth. Think of an evening at a family function or a dinner out, with a cotton saree, a tunic or a simple dress in a deep shade.
