Ruby and green run along the outer edge of this necklace set for women, where a half-circle pendant fans out below a flat woven chain. The inner rows of the fan are clear artificial stones, with a small flower of leaf-shaped stones at the top, and each ruby-coloured or green stone closes the curve like a tip. Small fan-shaped studs repeat the pendant, one for each ear. The studs are small, so they do not compete with the pendant.
The chain is broad and flat, which gives the pendant a firm base on the collarbone. The Kemp style and the matte finish keep the metal soft in tone, so the colours at the edge stand out. A simple pendant of this shape suits a plain silk saree, a blouse with a V or round neck, or a kurta set, and the studs keep the ears free for a flower in the hair.
