Ruby is the single colour in this pendant set for women, and it appears as one small stone set into the chest of the standing Balaji figure. The figure is framed by a tall arch and mounted on a long, flat woven chain. A pair of jhumka earrings completes the look.

The design is rooted in temple work. Carved pillars rise on both sides of the figure, a stepped base supports it, and a short row of small drops hangs from the lower edge of the frame. The chain is worked in a tight braid, which gives it a smooth, ribbon-like surface that sits flat against a blouse or kurta. Each jhumka is a dome with a tiny crescent cap, ringed by small drops, with fine carving on the cap. The north style outline keeps everything bold.
