Short on shine and long on detail, these antique bangles are covered end to end in fine filigree, finished in Rajwadi. A row of drop-shaped pieces hangs from one edge of each band, so the bangle moves slightly when you do and the light catches the curve of each one.

Small stones are set into the filigree at intervals, in a mix of ruby and green, which is the colour option listed for this piece. A few clear stones sit among them. The band is broad, and the second bangle in the photo is turned to show an open back worked with the same pattern. Every stone is artificial, and the drops are metal. The drops are the same size and sit close together, so they form a neat fringe along the edge instead of scattering.

Coming in at 140 gm, this is a heavy piece, closer to a kada in feel, so it suits an outfit that has some weight of its own, such as a bordered silk saree or a lehenga.
