For a waist that carries a lot, this antique kamar patta has five separate chains, one above the other, each one edged with a row of small, round pearls hanging along its lower side. The chains drape in long, soft loops across the front, and the photograph shows them on a dress form, where each one sits a little lower than the one above. The page calls it layered.
