Seed-pearl strands do the work in this kundan necklace set: six or seven fine rows fall from a plain cord at the back and run into a wide metal plate on each side before reaching the front. There, a round pendant takes over, with a ring of green stones around a clear square centre and a crescent of small stones below, finished with round pearl-coloured drops. The studs copy the green ring on a smaller scale.

Green is the colour in stock. It appears only in the ring of the pendant and the studs, so the strands keep a soft look and the green acts as one clear mark. The cord lets you adjust the fit on the day. A pale or pastel saree suits it, a plain kurta works too, and a deep neckline gives the pendant room to hang freely.
