Ruby leads on these antique bangles. A large oval stone with a ring of tiny beads sits at the middle of each band and again near the ends, and everything else is built around it. Two bangles come together in this set, in Rajwadi.

Between the oval stones, rounded four-sided panels carry small leaf marks, and a column of dotted beads runs through the centre of the band. The second bangle in the photo shows its open back, where the sections repeat in plain form. Ruby is the colour listed for this piece, and every stone is artificial. The beads in the centre column are packed tightly, so from a distance they read as a textured line, and the panels on either side keep the surface from looking crowded.
