Most moti malas hang long and plain; this one is closer to the neck and full of detail: a row of paan-shaped stones, each with a small ruby-coloured bead beneath it, hangs in a line from a band of small beads, and from each stone a fine drop of artificial moti falls. The paan shape is rounded at the top and pointed at the bottom. The style is beaded and traditional.
