One of the antique rings for women in the Mehendi finish, this ring is pictured in green, with a large pentagon-shaped stone, faceted and dark, set inside a border of small round beads, with a second row of tiny stones along the lower edge.
The shape is the interesting part. A pentagon is less common than a round or an oval, and its straight sides sit neatly across the finger. In white, the ring turns lighter and quieter, while green keeps a deeper tone. Wear green with a pale saree or a dupatta in a muted colour, and white with a darker kurta. Either way, the other hand can wear plain bangles, and a pair of small studs is all the ears need. The border of beads gives the stone a frame, so the ring still looks finished from the side.
